Rotary Watches – A Buyers Guide
Rotary Watches are a well established brand that has been producing watches since the late 19th century. The Swiss build quality and commitment to great value secured their place in history as a leading watch manufacturer. Within 12 years, Moise Dreyfuss, the founder of the Rotary watch company, opened an office in London to import the family watches with his two sons, George and Sylvain. By 1925 they had started using the iconic winged wheel logo.
Leading the way in watch production, Rotary introduced its first shock proof watch in the mid 1930s and by 1940 they had gained notoriety by becoming the official supplier of watches to the British Army. By the 1940s the Rotary watch company had also introduced a watch that was powered by the movement of the wearer and by the 1960s the company had grown to a point where employees could enjoy newly introduced schemes to train and progress in the company. In the 1970s Rotary introduced quarts watches. Previously watches kept time using the oscillation of a tuning fork. Using quartz instead meant time pieces could be hundreds of times more accurate and efficient. They continued to innovate into the 21st century, winning numerous awards and continuing to expand. The company is now owned by the fourth generation of the same family. Rotary now provide a lifetime guarantee and set the standard for water resistance by producing their watches to the ‘Dolphin Standard'. Wearers can be confident that wearing their watch underwater or whilst bathing will not result in any damage. This commitment to quality and ability to innovate has kept Rotary at the forefront of what design and manufacture.
Over time Rotary has developed a stunning range of mens and ladies fine watches. Made using robust stainless steel, gold and silver; these classic dress watches offer accurate timekeeping and timeless style at the best possible price. The range offers customers the choice between a stainless steel, gold or silver body with matching metal or leather straps.
When choosing gold Rotary watches the customer can choose between one of their many gold plated watches or select one from the solid gold range. The solid gold Rotary watch range offers 9ct and 18ct gold timepieces. Silver Rotary watches have solid Sterling silver body and strap. Any watch from their current range would make an excellent gift.
The Swiss have a rich pedigree of producing high quality watches. Amongst the other Swiss companies currently producing watches, most notably are Victorinox Swiss Army Watches. This company has a 125 year history of manufacture. They officially provide knives and watches for the Swiss army.
